Our amazing staff members hail from all over the United States and the world. They are artists, athletes, performers, teachers, researchers, explorers, linguists, and more! Most all, they are kind and caring individuals who love our camp community are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome and celebrated.
Meet our 2024 summer staff!
Assistant Camp Director / Program Director
Sanchze Mack
Sanchze is excited to return to Project Foxwood in 2024! From counselor to Head Chef, Sanchze has really done it all in his 10-year camp career. He's excited to put his experience to use as our Assistant Camp Director and Program Director!
Sanchze loves whipping up delicious recipes in the kitchen, helping campers lead activities, and embracing his wacky side any chance he gets!

When he's not at camp, Sanchze lives in Rochester, MI with his fiancé and Shiba Inu, Bear.
Program Director
Jonah Sheals
Jonah Sheals is returning for his third season with Project Foxwood and is excited for another fun summer in Northern Michigan! He hails from Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he works as a CNC machine programmer if the off season. He’s also lived in Scotland and England!
The eldest of six kids, Jonah knows a thing or two about leadership and collaboration. In his role as Program Director, he’ll be supporting counselors and staff to ensure each day runs smoothly and everyone is having fun. You’re likely to find Jonah constructing epic canoes, towers, and trebuchets or dreaming up cool games that his 12-year-old self would have liked to play!

Courtney Fox
This will be Courtney’s first summer with Project Foxwood and she’s excited to create and explore with campers in the outdoors!
Courtney grew up in Metro Detroit and currently lives in Portland, OR, where she teaches middle middle school Special Education and coaches track. On the weekends, you’ll find her outside, skiing on Mt. Hood, running, camping, or exploring Portland by foot in search of yummy food. Courtney also enjoys yoga, collage, and editing films with her vintage VHS camera!
Program Specialist
Zach Kovan
Zach is excited to return to camp and lead The Cojourn in 2024. He can’t wait to see what type of projects and experiences Cojourn participants embark on!
A six-time Camp Lookout camper, Zach has been part of the Project Foxwood family since he was a kid. He was a counselor in 2016 and 2017. He previously led The Cojourn in 2019.
Born and raised in Okemos, MI, Zach now lives in Portland, OR. When he’s not leading campers on unforgettable summer adventures, he’s a graphic designer, musician, artist, soccer player, and full-time food fanatic.

Paula Carrillo Quintero
Paula is back for her second summer on staff and she’s excited to see both new and familiar faces! She can’t wait to help campers experience all the amazing energy and creativity of camp while embracing opportunities to learn from one another.
At home in Bogota, Colombia, Paula works as an English teacher. She loves exploring her home country and she has lots of amazing stories to share with campers about the beautiful nature and culture she’s experienced on her travels.
In her free time, Paula loves doing arts and crafts, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with her cat, Katty.
After camp, Paula plans to travel throughout Latin America and start working on a master’s degree in education.

Emma Lazarus
After spending multiple summers at Camp Lookout as a kid, Emma is excited to finally join the Project Foxwood staff. She’s looking forward to creating an awesome summer full of new experiences for campers.
Emma is especially excited to take a break from technology and spend lots of time outside. She loves spending time on the water and can’t wait to show campers all the fun activities down at the waterfront, including swimming, kayaking, and fishing!. She also enjoys drawing, painting, sewing, and reading.
Emma is originally from Ann Arbor, MI and is currently a student and the University of Michigan studying secondary education. When camp ends, Emma will head back to UofM for her final year of college and will be student teaching. After graduation, she’s looking forward to traveling abroad before beginning her teaching career.
A fun fact about Emma is that she’s a twin and her twin sister was also a Camp Lookout camper!
Counselor & Sailing Instructor
Gerald Avelares
Gerald is excited to return for his second summer as a sailing instructor and can’t wait to share his love of the water with campers! He’s best known for his cheerful personality and for always having a smile on his face.
One of his favorite memories from last summer is sailing at sunset with campers during a special Evening Program. He’s looking forward to creating new special memories and sharing lots of laughter with our camp community again this summer.
At home in Costa Rica, Gerald lives right near the Pacific Ocean and spends the majority of his time on the water. When he’s not working as a sailor or running his new sailing center, you’ll find Gerald enjoying the cool ocean breeze and the melody of the waves from his surfboard, sailboat, or eFoil. He also enjoys free diving and can dive up to 30 feet with just a type and a mask!
In the rare moments when Gerald isn’t on a boat or in the water, you’ll find him relaxing with his two dogs, Compa and Brody, and his cat, Michi.

Luis Angel Rojas Rojas
Luis is returning for another summer as a member of the Project Foxwood staff! Hailing from Mexico, Luis is excited to share his culture with our camp community.
One of Luis’ favorite things about camp is the waterfront. He’s especially looking forward to paddle boarding and swimming in the lake with campers this summer. He also loves astronomy and everything related to space, so be sure to ask him to stargaze with you on a clear night!
When Luis isn’t at camp, you’ll find him hiking and running with is dog, Laika, playing his favorite video games, and recording music on his PC.
Luis is currently studying software engineering. After graduating from college, he plans to take a big trip to Finland and Iceland before pursuing a job an international software enterprise!

Sam Burt
Sam is joining the Project Foxwood team from Christchurch, New Zealand. This will be his first time in America and he’s really looking forward to meeting new people, making lasting connections with campers, and seeing a new part of the world.
At home, Sam lives with his family, including 3 dogs. He works at his former primary school and at a laser tag arena (!!!), so he’s well-prepared to amp up the fun and silliness here at camp!
In his free time, Sam likes playing video games on a computer he built himself and working on DIY projects. He also loves listening to classic rock. You’ll often find him rocking out to The Beatles, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, and Elton John!
In the future, Same would love to become and Architectural Technician or teach Digital and Visual Communication.
Internship Supervisor
Conni Crittenden
Conni is a former Crystalaire camper and our longest-tenured staff member. She’s been on staff since 1999 and (in her own words) we just “can’t get rid of her.” ;) Camp is Conni's happy place and she’s looking forward to another amazing summer spent dreaming up unique activities, enjoying Lake Michigan sunsets, and hanging out with the coolest people on the planet!
Conni’s still not sure what she wants to be when she grows up, but she’s already had one heck of a teaching career. In addition to 47 years of classroom teaching, she’s been an adjunct faculty member with the College of Education at Michigan State University, served on several state and national boards, and is nationally recognized as a McAuliffe Fellow and Presidential Awardee for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching!
When she’s not at camp or changing the world, Conni can be found spending time with her family, including her Mini Golden Doodle, Scout, celebrating her favorite holidays, or whipping up her favorite recipes.

Andre Anrubio Soto
Andre is returning for his second summer as a member of the Project Foxwood team and he is really looking forwarding to another season of sharing new experiences with campers and staff!
At home in Morelos, Mexico, Andre works as a mechanical engineer and swimming coach. He loves being on the water, so expect to find Andre at the waterfront, helping campers learn to paddle board, sail, swim, and more!
When he’s not on the water, Andre loves playing soccer and ping pong, drawing, and learning new skills. His special talent is solving a Rubik’s Cube, so be sure to ask him to show you how he does it!
In the future, Andre hopes to continue traveling and working in other countries so that he can continue to meet people from all over the world!

Ximena Bavines Salamanca
Ximena is excited to be a member of the Project Foxwood staff for the first time this summer! She is traveling from Puebla, Mexico to be part of our camp community and she's excited to meet YOU!
Ximena likes to lead a very active life. At home, Ximena goes to the gym 5 days a week and enjoys playing lots of volleyball and basketball! She also enjoys going for long walks with her dogs. When it’s time for some rest, you’ll find Ximena listening to music, drawing, or simply enjoying nature.
Ximena is currently studying physiotherapy at university and hopes to specialize in pediatric and sports areas. In the future, she plans to open her own clinic, serving multiple specialties. She also hopes to travel to more countries in the future, including Switzerland, Brazil, and England.

Hannah Bodine
Hannah is looking forward to her first summer as a member of the Project Foxwood staff and is eager to meet all our incredible campers.
Hannah is a rising senior at Grand Valley State University, where she’s majoring in Elementary Education and a member of the the varsity cross country and track team. After graduation, she hopes to teach 2nd or 3rd grade in a new-to-her location—maybe even teaching abroad!
In her free time, Hannah loves to spend time at the beach with her friends, listen to music, play piano and guitar, and sing!

Max Arnson
Max is a former camper who is joining the Project Foxwood staff for the first time this summer! After attending Camp Lookout from 2011 to 2015 and participating in Crystalaire Adventures in 2016, he’s excited to share what he calls “one of the most memorable and influential parts of my childhood” with the next generation of campers. He’s looking forward to designing new games and activities alongside campers and he can’t wait to bring everyone’s creative ideas to life!
When he’s not at camp, Max lives in Ann Arbor, MI, where he’s a graduate student at the University of Michigan. He’s earning his doctorate and works in a lab that is focused on sustainable aircraft design. In his free time, Max likes watching sci-fi movies, playing volleyball and “wallyball” (volleyball that’s played in a racquetball court), and spending time with his 14-year-old Australian cattle dog mix, Champ.

Alex Cordova
Alex is excited for his first summer as a Project Foxwood staff member and is looking forward to meeting all the campers and whipping up delicious meals for our entire camp community to enjoy! He’s also eager to learn more about our camp traditions and activities.
Alex is from Veracruz, Mexico. His family loves to travel and he’s had the opportunity to explore many of Mexico’s unique regions, fueling his interest in food, history, and culture. His hometown, Papantla, is even home to some ancient ruins from the Totonac civilization!
Alex is currently studying Communications at university and hopes to work for a television network in the future. When he’s not traveling or studying, you’ll find Alex working out, swimming, or spending time with his dog, Hachi, and cat, Horchata.
Wilderness Trip Guide
Megan Crouse
Megan is looking forward to her first summer leading wilderness trips as part of the Project Foxwood staff! She’s especially looking forward to bonfires, lake jumps, dune sprints, arts and crafts, and hiking through lush forests with all of our incredible campers.
A native of Columbus, OH, Megan currently lives in Guadeloupe, a small Caribbean island, where she’s been teaching English since graduating from Rhodes College is May of 2022. She’s also recently spent time working seasonal jobs in Grand Teton National Park and Glacier National Park, enjoying the beauty of America's western mountains.
When she’s not teaching or exploring the wilderness, you’re most likely to find Megan swimming, scuba driving, reading, running, cooking, or practicing yoga. She also loves spending time her black and white cow-like Akita, Lola.
And important fact: Megan can lick her elbow! (and she’s ready to prove it!)
Executive Chef & Kitchen Manager
Jamal Davis
Jamal is returning for his fourth summer as the Executive Chef at Camp Carvela. He’s excited to be back in Northern Michigan and can’t wait to enjoy lots of delicious meals alongside campers and staff. He’s also looking forward to many fun cooking and baking activities with campers!
During the school year, Jamal is a chef for College Fresh at the University of Michigan.
When he’s not whipping up tasty recipes for campers and students, Jamal loves playing table top roleplaying games, like Dungeons and Dragons and Call of Cthulhu. He also enjoys reading, sketching, playing the guitar, and playing sports like volleyball, soccer, and football!

Pao Dominguez Crespo
Pao is returning for her second summer as a Project Foxwood staff member. She’s looking forward to seeing returning campers and meeting all the new campers who are attending for the first time!
Pao is often seen dancing and laughing her way through camp. She’s well known for being happy and excited — and for her love of flaming hot chips!
Prior to working at Camp Carvela and Camp Lookout, Pao spent 4 years working as a counselor at Campamento Aguazul in her hometown of Cancún, Mexico.
At home, Pao is studying Entertainment Business Management at Anahuac University. She’s eager to graduate from college so she can travel and explore more of the world!

Charlea Dunn
Charlea is returning for her second year as a Project Foxwood staff member and her tenth year as part of our camp community. After spending 8 years as a Camp Lookout camper, Charlea is an expert on all things camp and is bursting with creative activity ideas, catchy camp songs, and excitement for all the wacky, fun experiences camp offers.
When not at camp, Charlea lives in Springfield, MO where she works with SPARK Before and After School Care. Her hometown high school is the same high school that Brad Pitt attend. (So, basically, Charlea is famous!)
In her free time, Charlea loves rollerskating at her local park and getting coffee with her friends. She also loves spending time getting lost in a good book while relaxing in her hammock.
She can’t wait to be back at camp, creating lasting memories she’ll cherish forever with campers and fellow staff.

Audrey Gollan
Audrey is excited for her first summer as a member of the Project Foxwood staff! As a former Camp Lookout camper and a Traverse City native, they’re excited to help campers embrace all the fun and magic that summer in Northern Michigan has to offer.
Audrey grew up working in her parents’ bakery and loves to bake and cook. As a camper, she enjoyed lots of kitchen-related activities, so definitely ask them about their favorite recipes!
In her free time, Audrey loves hiking, swimming, climbing trees, creating art, and getting messy along the way! She recently discovered a love for DJing and now mixes live music for friends and even has a show on her college’s radio station!
Audrey is a student at the University of Vermont, studying Sustainability, Ecology, and Policy. She’ll be studying abroad in Costa Rica for a semester next school year and is excited to explore a new country!

Charlie Hubbard
Charlie is traveling from Birmingham, England to join Project Foxwood for his first summer as a counselor. He’s looking forward to building relationships with campers and fellow staff members, as well as sharing his love for theater and performing arts with our camp community.
Charlie is an actor and a film fanatic. He likes to watch and write about films and can even recite the winners of every Oscar category as far back as 1990! After camp, Charlie will return to England to attend the University of Bristol, where he’ll study Theatre and stage, direct, and perform in plays at the Bristol Old Vic.
When he’s not performing, Charlie also enjoys running, especially down Birmingham’s many canal routes!

Mariana Ibarra Guerrero
Mariana is returning for her third summer as a member of the Project Foxwood staff! She’s looking forward to spending lots of time in the art house and making lots of new memories with campers as they unleash their creativity in the form of paint, glitter, tie-dye, and more!
At home in Puebla, Mexico, Mariana studies marketing at her university. As part of her university program, she’ll be traveling to Paris, France next year for an internship!
In her spare time, Mariana loves going the gym to lift weights and spending time hiking in nature. She also loves spending lots of quality time with her friends and family, including her 10-year old dog named Princess!

Lucy Goebel
Lucy is returning for her second year as a Project Foxwood staff member! A former Camp Lookout camper and Carvela School student, she’s a longtime member of our camp community and a wealth of knowledge about all things camp.
Lucy loves the water and is looking forward to spending summer days swimming, snorkeling, and paddle boarding with campers on the lake. She’s also excited for Ruth’s oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and the chance to sing all of the camp songs that have been stuck in her head since last summer ;)
When she’s not at camp, Lucy lives in Ypsilanti, MI, where she works as an assistant preschool teacher. She’s currently working on her Bachelor’s degree, studying Studio Art and Sociology/Anthropology. After graduating, she plans to work in education, specifically with art therapies.

Sara Isaza Martelo
Sara is returning for her second year on staff and she’s excited to be back at camp to create unforgettable moments with all the amazing campers and staff. She’s especially looking forward to soaking up all the beautiful views around camp, including those epic sunsets over the lake!
At home in Medellin, Colombia, Sara studies Business Administration at EAFIT University. She plans to continue her studies with an internship in Italy in the coming years.
When she’s not busying studying, Sara loves to play tennis with her siblings and go the gym to train with friends. She’s a self-described foodie who adores trying new foods so be sure to tell her all about your favorite recipes!

Ria Lowenschuss
This will be Ria’s first summer on the Project Foxwood staff but her sixth summer at camp. Ria was a Camp Lookout camper from 2015 to 2019 and is really excited to share her love for all things camp with current campers! She can’t wait to be back in Northern Michigan, hiking and climbing sand dunes.
Originally from Ann Arbor, MI, Ria now attends Wellesley College outside of Boston. She’ll be entering her sophomore year this fall, studying anthropology and women’s and gender studies with a concentration in public health. She’s also a member of Wellesley’s rugby team!
When she’s not busy studying and playing rugby, you’ll find her journaling and reading. Ria previously spent four years working at a bookstore, so she’s got LOTS of book recommendations to share!

Natalie Macher
Natalie is traveling to Northern Michigan from Cologne, Germany to spend her first summer as a member of the Project Foxwood staff! Natalie’s favorite season is summer, and she is incredibly excited to spend this summer at camp and experience the season in an entirely new way!
Back home, Natalie lives with her mom, grandpa, and older brother, plus a dog named Lucy. Her family has always had wiener dogs and Lucy is no exception :)
In her free time, Natalie loves swimming, theater, exploring nature, playing volleyball, listening to music, and spending time with friends. She can’t wait to share her hobbies with campers and spend the summer making new memories with all her new friends!
After camp, Natalie will begin her bachelor’s program in Munich, where she plans to study psychology.

Toby Marshall
This will be Toby’s first summer as a member of the Project Foxwood staff and his first time in America! Originally from Tamworth, England, he’s excited to experience the USA and is looking forwarding to meeting campers and staff.
Having just completed his PhD in biochemistry, Toby is extra excited to unplug this summer and soak up the natural beauty surrounding camp. He’s eager to help campers do the same and can’t wait to co-create some amazing activities and projects together.
Back at home, Toby enjoys woodworking, surfing, playing tennis and rugby, and going to the gym. He also spends quite a bit of time taking care of his 19 bonsai trees and restoring his 1971 VW Beetle! You might also catch Toby playing a tune on his ukulele and whipping up a delicious homemade pizza!

Maddie Mossbarger
Maddie is returning for her second summer as a member of the Project Foxwood staff. She’s super excited to reconnect with returning campers and meet all the new campers who are attending camp for the first time. She’s also looking forward to signing all her favorite camp songs!
When she’s not at camp, Maddie enjoys spending lots of time with her (very large) family, cheering on her brothers at their various sporting events, reading, and spending lots of time in nature, and playing fetch with her Miniature Australian Shepherd, Rocco.
Maddie recently graduated from Tiffin University with a degree in Exercise Science. After camp, she plans to travel the world and then put her brand new degree to use!

Maddie Robins
Maddie is returning to camp as a staff member after spending 7 years as a Camp Lookout camper. She can’t wait to watch the sunrise over the lake, camp out on the beach, and create unique new activities alongside campers and staff!
Maddie grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and currently attends Michigan State University, where she’s majoring in social relations & policy with a minor in educational studies. In her free time, Maddie loves all things crafts, puzzles, and spending time with friends and family. She also loves singing and has been involved in theater for over 10 years!
After graduating, Maddie hopes to work in educational policy and continue working with kids. She also plans to visit all 63 US National Parks!
Health Officer
Alexa Ross
Alexa is a long-time camper turned staff member who is returning for her 20th season with our camp community! Camp has been a huge part of Alexa’s life and she’s excited to help the next generation of campers create memories and community.
Alexa was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI and now lives in Chicago where she works as a registered dietitian nutritionist at Loyola University Chicago. She gets her summers off, giving her plenty of flexibility to disconnect from city life and come back Up North to enjoy all the magic of camp!
In her free time, Alexa loves running, reading, rock climbing, hiking, and baking desserts. She has a huge sweet tooth and loves to try new recipes! She also loves spending quality time with her two cats, Egypt and Lily, and tending to her many plants.
After camp, Alexa is headed to Canada to explore Banff National Park and Jasper National Park on an epic backpacking trip!

Ilse Perez Avila
Ilse is excited for her first summer as a member of the Project Foxwood staff! She’s looking forward to meeting everyone, playing games, and helping campers bring their creative activity ideas to life!
At home in Puebla, Mexican, Ilse is working on her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She’ll be entering her fifth semester in the fall!
In her free time, Ilse like to read, swim, bake and go to the movies. She also love having picnics with her friends and watching the sunset.

David Sanjuan Ayerbe
David is joining us this summer from Neiva, Columbia for his first summer as a member of the Project Foxwood staff! He’s excited to meet all of the campers and create some incredible new memories with our camp community. His goal is to have the “best summer ever” alongside campers and staff.
At home, David is studying for his Bachelor’s Degree in foreign languages and is a part-time English teachers. When he’s not studying or teaching, David loves spending time with family and friends, reading, and relaxing to his favorite music. He’s super excited to graduate this year and will be starting his Master’s Degree next year!
Waterfront Director & Counselor
Sylvia Reinebach
Sylvia is traveling from Madison, WI to join us for her first summer as part of the Project Foxwood community! She’s no stranger to camp, however; she spent her childhood attending summer camp in Wautoma, WI, where she acquired a deep appreciation for camp songs, crafts, and summer days spent on the water!
When Sylvia isn’t embracing camp life, you’ll find her working on her International Studies degree at UW-Madison and studying politics, policy, and Spanish. After graduating, she hopes to live abroad and teach English, preferably in Costa Rica!
In her spare time, Sylvia loves to read, craft, sing, dance, and perform with her improv comedy club! She also love spending time with her cat, Archie.

Diego Rojas
Diego is traveling to Northern Michigan all the way from Tlaxcala, Mexico to spend his first summer with Project Foxwood! He’s excited to meet everyone and share his creative passions and skills with campers.
In high school, Diego dreamt of becoming a famous musician, so he learned how to play the drums, guitar, and violin. He then went on to study art, including drawing, painting, photography, and digital design.
In his free time, Diego likes hiking, watching movies, taking photos, and spending time with his three dogs — his “bendiciones,” or sons, as he calls them :)
Be sure to ask Diego about his job as soccer photographer. He’s got lots of cool stories to share about watching the action up close!

Lukas Schaefer
Lukas is a former Camp Lookout camper, now returning to camp for his first summer as a staff member. He’s super excited to spend the summer outside, playing games and making memories with current campers! He’s especially looking forward to enjoying some magical summer sunsets on the lake.
A current student at the University of Michigan, Lukas spends his days studying Movement Science and playing trumpet in the marching band. Naturally, he’s a big fan of exercise, sports, and listening to music! He participates in a lot of sports on campus and enjoys artists like Dominic Fike and Mt. Joy.
When camp ends, Lukas will be heading off to Acadia National Park on a family trip before returning to Northern Michigan to work as a counselor at his former high school band camp!

György Teleki
György can’t wait to return to camp for his second summer as a member of the Project Foxwood staff! He says his time at camp is “one of the most defining times of [his] life” and he’s excited to make more incredible memories with campers this summer.
At home in Hungary, György is studying economics at the University of Szeged, majoring in Marketing. He’s been hard at work this past year on his research project and is eager to get back into nature and soak up all the fun sights and sounds of camp.
In his free time, György loves spending time with his friends and his dog, Kevin, as well as relaxing on the bank of the River Tisza.
Pro tip: he’s a talented chess and ping pong player, so be sure to challenge him to a game!

Mary Gatford
Mary is returning for her fourth year as a counselor and she can’t wait to be back at camp! A former Camp Lookout camper, Mary says camp is her favorite place in the world and she’s excited to share this special place with the current generation of campers.
Mary recently earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish from the University of Minnesota. She’ll be returning to Minneapolis in the fall to pursue her Master’s degree!
In her free time, Mary loves to get coffee and dinner with her friends, lead her campus ministry, and lifeguard at her school’s recreation center. She also loves hiking, kayaking, dancing, singing, knitting, and playing her ukulele!
Mary wants campers to know she’s bringing "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silverstein to camp again this summer, so get ready for more amazing poems!

Cerra Sonnenberg
Cerra is returning for a second summer as a Health Officer on the Project Foxwood staff! She’s excited to spend the summer getting to know campers and joining in on activities and programming.
When not at camp, Cerra lives in Napoleon, OH, where she works as a med-surg nurse on night shift. With over 15 years of experience working in healthcare, including training in intensive care and emergency care, Cerra is well-equipped to oversee the day-to-day health needs of campers and staff.
In her free time, Cerra enjoys playing board games and video games, listening to music, and crafting. She also loves spending time with mini golden double doodle, Bourbon. If the weather is nice, you’ll likely spot Cerra soaking up the sun while she roller skates!

Ruth Heithaus
Ruth is back for her second summer with Project Foxwood! She’s looking forward to enjoying amazing adventures, more time on the water, and participating in camper-led activities all summer long. She’s especially excited for more polar plunges!
Originally from Greencastle, Indiana, Ruth is currently living in Madrid, Spain, where she’s teaching English and soaking up Spanish culture. In the future, she hopes to blend her background in Spanish language and Anthropology with her love of the outdoors into a career in outdoor education.
In her free time, Ruth loves practicing yoga, dancing, drawing, making collages, and doing any and all outdoor activities but especially hiking, swimming, and climbing!

Slendy Yelipse Guerrero Becerra
Slendy is returning for her second summer at camp! She’s looking forward to spending time on the lake and watching lots of beautiful Northern Michigan sunsets with campers.
Slendy loves dancing, hiking, swimming, drawing, and creating hand-made crafts. She also love spending time in nature and admiring all of its beauty. She’s excited to share all of these passions and more with campers this summer!
At home in Colombia, Slendy owns a chocolate company called “Del Rancho Chocolate” which perfectly blends her creative skills and interest in international trade. After camp ends, she’s excited to continue growing her business and traveling the world.

Ali Craven
Ali is excited to spend her first summer at camp and support campers and fellow staff with all their health needs! She’s especially looking forward to participating in camp activities and disconnecting from her phone and other technology to spend more time being present in nature.
At home in Flushing, MI, Ali works as an Emergency Medical Tech and is pursuing their nursing degree at the University of Michigan- Flint. When they’re not busy helping other people or studying, you’ll find Ali reading, playing tennis, swimming, planning road trips with friends, or caring for their two dogs, four chickens, and hedgehog!
A Michigander through and through, Ali can’t wait to soak up all the magic of summer in Northern Michigan and maybe even explore the UP or Mackinac, too!

Sarah Teckmyer
This will be Sarah’s first summer on the Project Foxwood staff. She’s looking forward to meeting everyone and contributing to a welcoming, kind, and adventure-filled environment!
At home in Cleveland, OH, Sarah works as an EMT. She graduated from John Carroll University in 2022 and is preparing to apply for physician assistant school.
In her free time, Sarah likes to rock climb, draw and paint, and cook for friends and family, and spend time with her cat, Bella. She also loves hiking and foraging for wild mushrooms in Ohio’s many beautiful parks and nature preserves!
After camp, Sarah will be traveling to Italy to visit her brother!

Avi Grossman
Avi is a former Crystalaire and Lookout camper. She first came to camp in 2006 and it’s been one of her favorite places ever since! She’s excited to be back for another summer as a staff member and she is looking forward to connecting with and learning from campers from all over the country and the world.
Originally from Cleveland, OH, Avi now lives in Traverse City where she works as an ER nurse. In her free time, Avi loves rock climbing and hiking — especially when she can find a good spot in the middle of the trail to stop and journal!

Duncan is traveling from Pennsylvania to spend to join the Project Foxwood staff. He's super excited for his first summer at camp and he's looking forward to playing lot of games and dreaming up all kinds of cool new activities alongside campers.
In his free time, Duncan loves to hike and explore the mountains. You'll often find him on a trail, enjoying the beautiful nature scenery and logging lots of miles in his hiking boots!

Mango
Mango is excited for another fun summer at camp and she can't wait to join in on all the creative activities and projects that campers dream up! She's especially looking forward to cookouts and hikes up Jeff's Dune.
When she's not busy pawtroling camp, Mango can be found watching after her human baby sister, Matilda, or curling up for a nice nap in the cool lake breeze.

Max is a gentle giant who loves snoozin' in the sun and roaming around camp in search of the perfect stick. He also loves long walks along the lake and chillin' out at Mellowtime.
